Culturally Competent Professional

In today’s global society, to be most effective, human service professionals must be able to recognize elements of culture and how they may impact on individuals and groups, and be able to integrate such knowledge into their work as professionals. This interactive workshop explores how to integrate aspects of culture into everyday practice towards becoming more culturally competent and increasing the overall quality of services provided.

 

Key Objectives:

*          Identify Cultural Competency & Cultural Diversity differences

*          Identify various elements of culture and how they impact individuals and groups

 *         Explore how to integrate aspects of culture into everyday practice

Enrollment is limited to the first 30 registrants. The $25 registration fee includes breakfast & lunch. Closing date of registration is one week prior to the workshop.
