FACT:

Established by the Virginia General Assembly in 1999, the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth (VFHY) leads a statewide effort to reduce and prevent youth tobacco use. VFHY promotes healthy living habits to children and teens in Virginia through a variety of methods, including: classroom programs; a multimedia youth marketing campaign; and cutting-edge university research; into youth tobacco-use prevention.

VFHY directly reaches more than 60,000 children across the Commonwealth every year with our community-based youth instructional programs. And we reach hundreds of thousands more through our award-winning TV and radio ads and online content.
