Grant Writing Guide

The VTSF is committed to helping organizations learn how to effectively write grants. This not only helps those applying for VTSF grants, but also helps organizations throughout Virginia bring funding in to their communities.

Gaining skills in grant writing will enhance any organization's ability to secure funding from external entities. While one of the main keys to proposal success is to thoroughly read the Request for Proposals and to carefully follow the directions, there are many other areas to be considered when preparing proposals. R. Neal Graham, a member of the VTSF Central Regional Advisory Board and executive director of the Virginia Primary Care Association, has developed a course outlining the steps to developing a cohesive proposal. The presentation provides information regarding the entire process of preparing to write the grant proposal through final approval.
